Learning from Eco-social Approaches to Public Health
In November 2023, we met with student representatives fromSD91 to plan for a visit to UNBC. From our discussions emerged a powerful theme related to the current challenge of our land: "Healing the Land-Healing from the Land." This theme reflects our shared belief in the interconnectedness between ourselves and the land as a pathway to healing.
We eagerly prepared to welcome the SD91 students to our campus. Our itinerary revolved around fostering meaningful connections and introspection. We began with a welcome circle, followed by a guided campus tour highlighting our values and culture.
But our engagement didn't stop there. We curated interactive learning stations designed by UNBC professors to offer hands-on experiences and opportunities for reflection.
We are grateful to the SD91 student representatives for their invaluable contributions. Together, we embarked on a journey of healing, connection, and growth.
